There are a lot of exciting things underway for 2020 already, which you will see more information about in the coming months. The first event is just a couple weeks away - the 2020 New Year’s Day Nightmare @ Roland Park! At the event, we will be selling LAFS memberships, but this year they will be separate from the entry fee, as Bill has some special discs planned for the 25th year anniversary. Memberships this year are $25. These memberships go towards the following:
Your own Dri-Fit 2020 club member tee shirt (personalized if ordered by April 30th)
PDGA membership discount
Discount on Giving Back Disc Golf (Bill Geibel) Discs ($1 off per disc)
Club funding for course maintenance and improvements, such as:
Gas for weed whacking and mowing
New maintenance equipment
Course materials (like OB ropes, stakes, etc.)
Funds for improvements (like the Ship Rock Tee Pad project)
Club funding for tournament & leagues costs
Technology to run our league systems
Contributions towards tournament prizes and extra events
Insurance costs
Pavilion Rentals
Please consider becoming a LAFS member, as this is a great way to set 2020 off to a good start! Membership helps the club provide more and more benefits for our community, just like what is listed above from 2019.
Lastly, to those who are looking to get more involved in the club, whether with course maintenance, tournament directing, leagues, social media, leadership, or anything else, please feel free to message LAFS on Facebook, talk to a LAFS council member, or email us at info@lancasterareafrisbeesports.com during this off season so you can join us in making 2020 a great year!
